The problem in American culture is that we have learned to become consumers, rather than those who jump in the mix and get their hands dirty. The statistics don't lie: 20% or less of church congregations do 100% of the work. We need people who are willing to jump into the fray for Jesus--who aren't afraid of the messy lives in our culture--who desire to see transformation rather than stagnation.
