Lead Pastor: Rev. Shannon M. Rogers

Pastor Shannon comes from a long life lived in local church ministry. From a young age, Pastor Shannon sensed God’s call on her life. She has served in a variety of capacities within the church: Worship ministry (having served many churches leading worship), teaching, preaching, and Bible Study.

Professionally, Shannon served 23 years in medical imaging and sensed a call from God to return to school. As a result, she did just that, earning both her bachelor’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in Biblical Studies and moved into her Master of Divinity from Wesley Seminary. During that time, she served the admissions team at Indiana Wesleyan University, finishing her career there as Associate Director of Admissions at Wesley Seminary, as well as closing out a chapter in pastoral ministry in Parker City, Indiana. Currently, Shannon teaches spiritual formation at Wesley Seminary as an adjunct professor.

At Cross Roads, we are expectantly awaiting a move of the Holy Spirit to bring about revival in our midst. And so we are asking the Holy Spirit to move, to change hearts, to guide and direct us in leading generations at Cross Roads! How we need Jesus more than ever–“Every hour we need You, Lord!”

Pastor Steve Rushton

Congregational care pastor

Steve serves as our congregational care pastor. He provides communion to a local retirement community, provides visitation to our shut-ins, and general support to those who are hospitalized and ill. He also has a passion for our prayer ministry at Cross Roads, which is just now getting off the ground. We expect great things, as Cross Roads seeks to follow God’s lead in obedience. Steve desires to see our congregation gain a comprehensive understanding of who Jesus Christ is and the great lengths He went to bring salvation to all.

Pastor Eddie Burks

next gen pastor

Eddie will be joining Cross Roads Church in January 2026 as our new Next Gen pastor. He will oversee the ministries of our children and youth. With over 20 years of dedicated youth ministry experience, Eddie firmly believes that pouring into the Now and Next Generation is part of the very reason God created him. Though he has served in many ministry roles including five years as a senior pastor, his greatest impact has been among young people, where he continues to mentor, disciple, and empower future leaders.

Eddie is excited and honored to serve at Cross Roads (the Church on the Hill), where he hopes to make a big impact in the city of Anderson and the surrounding communities for the glory of Jesus Christ.

Bill Bercik

choir director/lay leader

Bill serves Cross Roads Church in a variety of ways, including scheduling and planning our music and worship services. He is a pillar in our church community–a true jack of all trades, and seeks to see God glorified in the way in which we conduct our services. Bill is also an elder in our midst–helping to rudder Cross Roads spiritually.

Garri George

pianist

Garri is a talented pianist and he plays for Cross Roads’ weekly services. This includes congregational singing with hymns during our traditional service, and plays for our contemporary service, as well. Garri is a man of many talents and we so enjoy his music in our midst, as he leads us in worshipping our Savior Jesus!

Richard Geisler

praise band director

Richard is responsible for programming, rehearsing, and leading music for our weekly worship services. He enjoys programming around the liturgical calendar, so although the music at Cross Roads is primarily contemporary in nature, some of our favorite traditions include the Christmas Concert Band and Choir in the month of December and our Irish Band for St. Patrick’s Sunday! William Cowper once penned that “variety is the spice of life.” Consider the music at Cross Roads to be well-seasoned!

Joshua Stowers

audio/visual director

Joshua is Cross Road’s technical go-to individual. He works to make our audio-visual presence impactful, often working behind the scenes that services flow smoothly and without a hitch. Joshua also works on making our services available through online resources, such as YouTube.
