Cheryl and I were in a strange building in a strange town the other day. I wasn’t sure where the office we needed was located. I approached a friendly-looking person to ask for directions. He was happy to help me find our destination. I noticed that when I first approached him, he acted like I was going to ask him to lend me his car. Funny how we make assumptions about others at times.
In this week’s lesson, we will meet a person who approached Pontius Pilate to ask for a favor. Pilate probably wasn’t excited when this conversation began.
Join us on Sunday as we study Mark 15:42-47 together.
A prayer request: Brenda Dunwiddie was taken to the hospital over the weekend. She entered hospice care yesterday. Please pray with Fred and Brenda during this time.
Also from the church office: we will be holding a “town hall” church meeting this Sunday, March 26 at 5 in the evening. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss a few possibilities for the church’s future. The vote is behind us. What are the next few steps? All are welcome to attend this meeting.
Dear friends, we are blessed,
PaRick
